Real Madrid are in first place in La Liga after weekend action. Barca drew 2-2 with Almeria despite Messi’s two brilliant goals. While Real beat Sevilla in a match that legendary footie writer Phil Ball described as such for Soccernet.com:
“…the topic of the week, which has to be the splendid game in the ‘Bernabow’ on Saturday night. Even the most avid of Madrid haters would have to admit that it was something of a spectacle. Trailing 0-2 to Sevilla after 53 minutes, the merengues rallied and staged one of their infamous remontadas (comebacks), eventually winning the game 3-2 in stoppage time and taking over from Barcelona at the top of the league on goal difference.”
So if Real were to really be THAT good – then couldn’t Ronaldo also be THAT good again? The best player in the world again?

Guess they’re gonna have to win the league – for Ronaldo’s sake – now that they’ve been knocked out of the Champions League by Lyon.
