Russell Gould of Australia’s Herald Sun reports that Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy has called on superstar centre Greg Inglis to step up as a leader and fill the void left by departed club stalwarts Dallas Johnson and Steve Turner.

Gould says that:

”…after a torrid season, blotted by an assault charge, Inglis finished last year as the best player in the world by dominating the Four Nations tournament and winning the Golden Boot award.

“The 23-year-old has been elevated to Storm’s leadership group to replace Johnson, having displayed impressive mental strength to bounce back from his personal problems.”
