Interesting that Forlan should win the Golden Ball when he - like Sneijder - did not win the World Cup. If you don't need to win it all then you could make a big argument for Sneijder who scored the same amount of goals as Forlan but did one better than him by getting his team into the final. From that angle then, you could argue that Forlan was merely a sentimental choice because he played above himself for a lesser team. Yes Tossy Sneijder has had a great year.
