From Tyson and the experts at icehockeywarehouse, big-time online retailers of brand-name hockey equipment – this is why the Easton S19 is the stick of choice for tons of NHLers (the other big one being the Bauer Vapor series). We at BPITW have checked out the Easton S19, and we’ve gotta say it’s a unique combination of lightness, balance, and flex. Heck, if we could afford one we’d be potting goals like Dany Heatley too.
Best stick? The Easton Stealth S19

Man – how sticks have changed. I remember when people started buying the expensive composites and I vowed to stick with wood. So much for that! Eventually I went composite too. The Easton Stealth looks great.
Gotta say, though, that many players – even good young players – don’t think enough about the lie of their stick. Every time you see a stick worn down at the heel it’s because the lie was wrong for the player. Coaches should help their young players choose the right stick lie for their height, position, and playing style.
