Video: Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea lets in another bad goal – this time to West Brom’s Shane Long:

What do you think folks - is de Guernica not the perfect name for a Spanish goalkeeper who could not have had a more traumatic start to his Premier League career? Or am I still being too harsh and politically incorrect?

I am beginning to get the feeling though that even the most loyal United fans are starting to wonder about “the next Iker Casillas” after watching West Bromwich Albion’s Shane Long hit a long, slow bobbling shot into the far corner of the net today.

What’s worse than seeing United fans hold their heads in their hands, is that United’s opponents are starting to smell blood when it comes to playing against the new young keeper. Today I saw West Brom players trying – and succeeding – to play the body with the slightly built Spaniard. I also saw them shooting from distance toward the end of the game.

Not good indicators. Decidedly disrespectful, I think.

Wouldn’t surprise me if David de Gea does not start in United’s next match.

The boy is definitely struggling.

Maybe too early for a nickname but it’s really hard to resist.
