Stokes strikes 258 for England

BBC’s report today outlines how Ben Stokes has hit the fastest double century ever for an England batsman in a Test match. The 24-year-old Stokes scored 200 on just 163 balls by striking hard and often at South Africa’s bowling: his final tally of 258 runs included 26 fours and 7 sixes.

Stokes is playing in just his 21st Test match. His feats in the crease in this match are the second-fastest 200 ever by any Test batsman and have helped England move to a very healthy 488-run lead over South Africa on Day 2.
