Managers looking to do something different to improve their fantasy lives may want to have a look at Jesus.
That’s Gabriel Jesus of Manchester City, of course.
It’s as if he fell from the sky and landed smack, dab in the middle of the EPL season. He was purchased by City from Palmeiras long ago but the agreement with his club was such that he was required to finish the Brazilian season before landing in England.
City manager Pep Guardiola has already begun to praise the new arrival who could prove to be a saviour to both his club – and fantasy teams around the world.
“In Brazil Gabriel played on the left side, he likes to play on the left, with the movement in the diagonals, like he was doing in the last games. Both (he and Aguero) can play together because Gabriel is not just one in behind, he is good in the box, he is a fighter. His tracking back is really good, that is why he can help us a lot. I love the players who make backwards and help the team and show me that desire to keep the ball, to attack again. I love that.” (Guardian)
If the great Guardiola is a believer, perhaps fantasy managers soon will be too.
Jesus is currently available for £9.1.
