We look at the next great and trending shoe – the Adidas F50 adizero TRX FG Leather MiCoach – through the eyes of two of our favourite unboxers: SoccerShoos:
Great shoe huh? A nice marriage of shoe and technology. I wonder if along with giving players a first-rate playing experience, this idea will generate enough interesting data to become a breakthrough product.
Here’s what Adidas promises to do with miCoach:
“miCoach collects your movement and cardio data during training or competition and helps you build a training plan specific to your sport and your goals – even offering audible coaching in real time.”
“miCoach lets you sync, share and compare your data online – wherever you are. So when you’re on your game, you can let the world know, right from the pitch.”
That seems pretty cool to me. Need to find out how well it works though. We’ll get back to you…
Our German friends at > Freekickerz provide an excellent review and demo of the Adidas adipure 11Pro miCoach. The English is dubbed-in over the German and the video is long but if you’re at all interested in this shoe, the video is well worth watching.
You can see an amateur unboxing of this beautiful new shoe or hear about it from the people who actually made the shoe.
Andy Caine of Global Football gives an excellent breakdown of what this shoe can do for you, with an emphasis on the “explosive speed” it can “give you”.
Alright – we all know that speed can’t be given to you, nor do shoes “make the player” – as over 200 commenters to this Youtube post agreed.
But having the best shoes possible can make a difference in a game that can be all about the details and having the slightest edge. And I think it simply helps to like your shoes. That way, first of all, you’re not worrying about your shoes, plus if you actually feel good in them and about them – you can have an added psychological edge which you wouldn’t otherwise have had.
So go ahead – buy some nice, expensive shoes if they make you feel good. And get some Nike Mercurial Vapor VIIIs if they suit you.
