Hat-Trick Tracker

Here’s how the Manchester City scoring went today at Norwich:

Carlos Tévez (18′)
Sergio Agüero (27′)
Carlos Tévez (73′)
Sergio Agüero (75′)
Carlos Tévez (80′)
Adam Johnson (90′)

A Tevez sandwich with two slices of Aguero and a Johnson on the side.

6-1 for City. One wonders what the title race would be like if Tevez had been with City all season? He’s a crazy-man but he is sure is a good player – when he wants to play.

The moment that launched Carlos Tevez’ Argentine golf vacation.

Would you refuse to play in a Champions League game?

Sacrilege.

And what an addition this particular Carlos would be to Man City’s line-up.

Now this is a dog who looks like he loves to play any time, any way, any where.

Can’t imagine this Carlos refusing to play against Bayern Munich in the Champions League > the way the other Carlos did.

…and that’s why he refused to enter the pitch in Munich on the day of our Lord 27.9.2011:

“Woof! Woof!” That’s > what Tevez is saying today as he makes his way back to Manchester from his extended golf vacation in Argentina to apparently apologize to the club and start playing again.

What a human. So he was treated badly? He was treated like a dog? What about his own treatment of his manager and his team and his fans? Tevez is a small man if he can’t even apologize without trying to save face by having a dig at Mancini. Wonder if he’ll have to apologize for two things now?

What a time for football players. Wonder who is worse – Tevez or Luis Suarez?

Wonder which of the two is the least-liked player in the world?

I’ve been thinking this for a while but yesterday’s refusal to go into the game for Man City vs Bayern just may confirm it: Carlos Tevez is suffering from depression and or some other real mental problems.

Yesterday > when I called Tevez a lunatic, I did so on instinct.

But this morning when I was looking deeper at this story > I found an Independent piece which may support my hunch. In that article, dated September 5, 2011,  Tevez talks about “personal problems”:

“”I’m not the shit that they say I am. I had a personal crisis this summer,” Tevez insisted. “I put on five or six kilos and had to check myself into a clinic. I was depressed and so I ate and ate. Only my family and my friends know this.”

A clinic? What kind of clinic? Was it really for weight problems? He does say he was “depressed”.

But maybe he’s actually, clinically depressed.

If that’s true – that he has a real medical problem – then that would explain his crazy behaviour yesterday in Munich.

His teammates seem to say he should play.

Question: Is Carlos Tevez a lunatic?

Question: Does this type of behaviour explain why Argentina’s national team sucks despite having the Best Player in the World in Lionel Messi?
