A superb goal from David Silva in the 51st minute to make it Man City 2 QPR 1.
The sharp low cross from Edin Dzeko was quality but so was Silva’s exquisite first touch.
That first touch gave Silva the space, time and angle he needed to fire low past the QPR keeper.
What a fine player Silva is – certainly one of the best midfielders in the world – not playing in Barcelona : )

“Silva is a top, top player. I don’t know why he didn’t go to Barca or Real Madrid because he’s Spanish but we are lucky because he’s here,” Mancini said.
“If he had gone to Barca two years ago everyone would say he’s one of the best players in the world – and he is one of the best players in the world.
“He’s different from Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo because they are strikers and score a lot of goals but I think he’s the same as Xavi and Iniesta.”
That’s saying a lot but I think Mancini is right. Silva has the same style as Xavi and Iniesta and he is just as good. He is a very important player for City as they try to unseat cross-town rivals Manchester United.
