His Colts are 0-and-8 without him and there are some suggestions that the team may cut him loose due to his neck injury and his age but Peyton Manning is not thinking that way.
Unbelievably, despite the big question marks which surround his health and his future, Manning is talking about playing this season. And here’s why:
“I miss playing, I really do. If I get cleared to play and I’m good enough, would I play? Absolutely,” he said. “I’d love to because that’s how I’m wired, that’s my job and I love my job.
“If the doctor says you can go, then I’d like to do that.”
Yep -that’s definitely how he’s wired.
And that’s why he has been the best for so long.
My prediction?
Manning is not done. A guy like him is “wired” to have a few more big seasons – and cement his name as one of the best NFL quarterbacks of all-time.
