Ah yes – that special moment when you sign with a big team: the stroll through glimmering offices, the tidy assistants escorting you about, and the wallpaper of ex-stars to make you feel at home. Lovely to see Patrick Vieira there. Another Arsenal man. Says something about the changing landscape of the Premier League, doesn’t it?
Also says something about who creates the most talent. Arsenal can at least take pride in that – creating talent. But it’s City that has a glow on just now – after adding yet another star to its galaxy of stars. And while people were saying last season that you can’t buy trophies, it is clear now – two games in – that City do finally look and play like a team that can challenge for any title.
